The idea of travel was always there - quietly rooted in the corners of my mind. It was never a question of if I would explore the world, but when and how?

Life had its rhythm, and for a long time, I waited for the right moment, the right reason, the right person and the courage to begin. And when that moment came, it wasn’t just the beginning of a journey across miles - it was the beginning of Kahani and Kilometer.

What started as a solo dream soon became a shared reality. Alongside my partner-in-life and on the road. We began exploring the world with deeper meaning and joy. Together, we turned travel into a way of life, not just chasing destinations but building a story of companionship, courage, and curiosity. From sunrise hikes to late-night train rides, from bustling cities to quiet countryside stays — every experience became richer when shared.

Traveling with a partner, I discovered, meant more than having someone to walk beside. It meant having someone to dream with, to plan with, and to grow with. It brought balance in between spontaneity and stability, between adventure and reflection. The shared love for exploration allowed us to fulfill not just personal goals, but collective dreams - one step, one story, and one kilometer at a time.

Through Kahani and Kilometer, I share more than travel journeys and my inspirations. This space not only captures the essence of slow & luxury travel, soulful encounters, and the kind of journeys that transform you but also where budget travel and the unexpected often stir your soul and challenge your perspective on life.

Whether it’s learning to navigate foreign streets hand in hand, discovering hidden villages, or sipping local wine in the golden hours of the day - every moment is a thread in a larger story of togetherness and wonder.

This is more than a travel blog. It’s a chronicle of two people chasing dreams, collecting stories, and choosing the world as their classroom. Welcome to Kahani and Kilometer — where every journey is written from the heart, and every kilometer carries a new kahani.

Kahani 5 - Toy Trains, Cable Dreams & The Silence of Lauterbrunnen & Mürren

Toy Trains, Cable Dreams & The Silence of Lauterbrunnen & Mürren   Some places don’t just mesmerise you – they open your eyes and the opinion to look around. That was Lauterbrunnen and Mürren for us. After a dreamy day in Interlaken, Day 5 brought a new kind of magic — high-altitude silence, unfiltered air, and landscapes that feel unreal even when you're standing inside them.   From Valleys to Peaks: The Journey Begins We began early from Interlaken, heading toward the storybook valley of Lauterbrunnen. The train slowly chugged through tunnels and across open pastures, and soon the views transformed — sheer cliffs, wild waterfalls, and quiet Swiss homes straight out of a fairy tale. Lauterbrunnen welcomed us like a scene frozen in time. A tiny town, but with a heart that echoes through mountains. Towering cliffs on both sides, cows grazing lazily, and the mighty Staubbach Falls cascading right into the village — nature seemed to perform effortlessly...

Kahani 7: The Golden Detour – From Interlaken to DDLJ Shooting Location

The Golden Detour – From Interlaken to DDLJ Shooting Location   It was finally time to say goodbye to Interlaken, a place that had wrapped us in snow, nostalgia, and so many memories. But as always, while the next destination was fixed (Luzern), the in-between was open to adventure. With our train to Luzern scheduled for the evening and a good 8 hours in hand, we stood there with our bags packed, hearts full, and minds a little confused: “Now what?”  And then came the idea 💡 — Golden Pass Premium!   We already had our Swiss Pass (which includes economy seats), but this time, we wanted to feel that Swiss luxury . So, we upgraded to Golden Pass Premium class -because why not? Travel isn’t just about the destination; it’s about making the journey unforgettable too.   Bags Down, Windows Up   We safely dropped our luggage at the Interlaken luggage room (for a surprisingly nominal fee), grabbed some quick snacks, and hopped onto the Golden ...

Kahani 3 - Sweet Walks & Swiss Wonders in Zürich

Sweet Walks & Swiss Local Wonders in Zürich Day 3 in Switzerland was all about charm, chocolate, and a touch of lakeside magic. We started our morning in the heart of Zürich’s Old Town - a maze of cobbled lanes, colourful facades, and timeless architecture. Every corner had a story to tell, from tiny artisan shops to lively cafés spilling out onto the streets. The Ultimate Chocolate Experience: Lindt Home of Chocolate No trip to Zürich is complete without diving headfirst into the world of Swiss chocolate and the famous Lindt’s Chocolate Tour (the perfect gateway). As you step inside, you will be welcomed by the iconic chocolate fountain, flowing like a dream (and yes, you can smell it from a distance!). The immersive museum shared Lindt's history, the art of chocolate making, and, best of all unlimited tastings . Milk, dark, hazelnut, filled, crunchy - every flavor felt like a sweet love letter from Switzerland. Serenity by the Zürichsee Post-chocolate coma, we m...
