Kahani 9: When Fog Hugs the Mountains – Mt. Rigi & Luzern Evenings

From Foggy Peaks to Gelato Streets – Exploring Mt. Rigi & Luzern The story of Switzerland never ends in a single day. After our magical Titlis adventure, most people would call it a wrap. But Swiss days are long, and our spirits were still high. So, we thought, why not two mountains in a day? Thanks to our Swiss Pass, we didn’t have to think twice. The next stop was Mount Rigi – the Queen of the Mountains. Cruise to Rigi The journey began with a peaceful lake cruise from Luzern, gliding across crystal waters surrounded by mountains. The gentle waves, cool breeze, and golden reflections of the evening light made the ride feel like a poem. From the pier, we hopped on the steep cogwheel train that slanted its way up to Rigi Kulm, climbing through meadows, chalets, and tiny villages. It felt almost unreal, the little red train crawling upwards as if it was pulling us into the clouds. A Foggy Surprise at the Summit Welcome to the Foggy “Rigi Kulm”, the kind of fog that swallow...

Kahani 8: Luzern Showers & Titlis Dreams

Rain, Revolving Gondolas & Snow Dreams – A Day in Luzern & Titlis   In continuation to our Kahani 7 , our journey from Interlaken to Luzern wasn’t as smooth as Swiss trains usually promise. Instead, we lived through a rare chapter — a train network failure . Delayed back from Saanen, we finally reached Interlaken, picked up our bags, and began the bittersweet ride to Luzern. As the train curved around the familiar mountains, the reality of leaving them tugged at our hearts. The turquoise Brienz River , shimmering under light drizzle, felt like Switzerland was saying one last goodbye before handing us over to another city. A Rainy Welcome in Luzern Instead of sunshine, Luzern welcomed us with showers of love . Umbrellas came out, luggage wheels splashed through puddles, and we finally checked into our self-check-in city apartment — simple, modern, and perfectly located. Exhaustion had wrapped itself around us, but cravings don’t wait. That night we stumbled into Kanchi ...

Kahani 7: The Golden Detour – From Interlaken to DDLJ Shooting Location

The Golden Detour – From Interlaken to DDLJ Shooting Location   It was finally time to say goodbye to Interlaken, a place that had wrapped us in snow, nostalgia, and so many memories. But as always, while the next destination was fixed (Luzern), the in-between was open to adventure. With our train to Luzern scheduled for the evening and a good 8 hours in hand, we stood there with our bags packed, hearts full, and minds a little confused: “Now what?”  And then came the idea đź’ˇ — Golden Pass Premium!   We already had our Swiss Pass (which includes economy seats), but this time, we wanted to feel that Swiss luxury . So, we upgraded to Golden Pass Premium class -because why not? Travel isn’t just about the destination; it’s about making the journey unforgettable too.   Bags Down, Windows Up   We safely dropped our luggage at the Interlaken luggage room (for a surprisingly nominal fee), grabbed some quick snacks, and hopped onto the Golden ...

Kahani 6 - Where Dreams Touch the Sky – Jungfraujoch, Top of Europe

Where Dreams Touch the Sky – Top of Europe   This day was the day . The one we had been waiting for — the day to finally touch the snow-capped Swiss mountains at Jungfraujoch, the so-called Top of Europe. We started our morning from Interlaken, headed towards Grindelwald, and from there, began the beautiful climb. First, the stunning Eiger Express gondola ride which was smooth, scenic which made us feel like flying over the hills. Then came the magical train journey, winding through tunnels, glaciers, and opening into views that made our jaws drop every other minute. The kind of ride where you're so glued to the window, you forget to blink.  Then came the iconic train ride through the Alps, slowly climbing through tunnels carved inside mountains, stopping briefly at windows overlooking glaciers. It was like watching nature’s private theatre, one scene at a time. Honestly?  The feeling was like we had landed in heaven. The snow, the air, the whole whitewashed...

Kahani 5 - Toy Trains, Cable Dreams & The Silence of Lauterbrunnen & MĂĽrren

Toy Trains, Cable Dreams & The Silence of Lauterbrunnen & MĂĽrren   Some places don’t just mesmerise you – they open your eyes and the opinion to look around. That was Lauterbrunnen and MĂĽrren for us. After a dreamy day in Interlaken, Day 5 brought a new kind of magic — high-altitude silence, unfiltered air, and landscapes that feel unreal even when you're standing inside them.   From Valleys to Peaks: The Journey Begins We began early from Interlaken, heading toward the storybook valley of Lauterbrunnen. The train slowly chugged through tunnels and across open pastures, and soon the views transformed — sheer cliffs, wild waterfalls, and quiet Swiss homes straight out of a fairy tale. Lauterbrunnen welcomed us like a scene frozen in time. A tiny town, but with a heart that echoes through mountains. Towering cliffs on both sides, cows grazing lazily, and the mighty Staubbach Falls cascading right into the village — nature seemed to perform effortlessly...

Kahani 4 - Into the Heart of Switzerland: A Bollywood Dream in Interlaken

Into the Heart of Switzerland: A Bollywood Dream in Interlaken Some journeys are more than just movement — they’re poetry in motion. Day 4 was that kind of day. It was time to leave ZĂĽrich and head to the heart of Switzerland — Interlaken , a place soaked in nature, nostalgia, and cinematic charm.   The Panoramic Train: A Moving Dream We boarded our panoramic train with excitement buzzing in our hearts and as luck would have it, we were welcomed with a perfect window seat . From the moment the train rolled out, we were completely spellbound . There’s a strange confusion that only a scenic train in Switzerland can bring — which side of the window should you look out from? The left was a lake, sparkling in the morning light. The right? Cascading waterfalls tumbling down cliffs , almost suddenly, like nature had surprised even itself. Every turn introduced a new visual, tiny wooden chalets tucked into green valleys, herds of cows grazing lazily, and dramatic ups an...
